A big welcome to Sara Banovska who is joining our lab this session to undertake an internship during her visit to Australia from the Netherlands. We are very excited to have you Sara, and already feeling the injection of enthusiasm for all things neuroscience!
A bit about Sara:
Hey there! My name is Sara Banovska and I am currently an exchange student here, at the UoW. My home university is in Delft, Netherlands, where I study program called Nanobiology that aims to implement principles of physics into the context of small-scale biology. I am a huge science enthusiast and am therefore delighted that I got an opportunity to be an intern at the MINDS lab, where I will shadowing the current PhD students. During my time at the lab, I hope to observe how neuron staining works, how to optimize such a process or how to stress neurons and observe their response to this. I am also trying to make most of my time in Australia by traveling, taking in the magnificence of the beaches nearby or appreciating local food and coffee. I also like to unwind by running, cooking vegan meals, and hanging out with my friends. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be here and hope to broaden my horizons as much as possible!
